Toyota China also gave an explanation for the emulsification of the oil, arguing that a small amount of dew in the engine could not evaporate and mix into the oil because the engine was repeatedly used when the engine could not warm up fully. "after driving at a high speed, the engine will fully warm up, and with the rise of the engine oil temperature, a small amount of water mixed into the engine oil will evaporate, and the emulsification will disappear."

In response to the increase in oil, Toyota China said that the engine factory based on the F scale line to inject oil, but there is a certain tolerance. The actual injection of oil exceeds the F line, but it is still within the prescribed range; when the oil is changed in automobile maintenance, it is also possible to exceed the oil level F line; according to the working principle of the engine, during cold start-up at low temperature, a very small amount of incomplete combustion gasoline enters the oil through the gap between the piston ring and the cylinder block; when measuring the height of the oil level, whether the ground is flat and the oil temperature also has an impact on the height of the oil level.

Judging from Toyota China's response, Toyota does not deny the phenomenon of increased / emulsified oil in several SUV models, but Toyota China denies the damage to the engine and oil caused by this phenomenon. At present. Toyota China has not yet come up with a specific solution to the oil increase / emulsification incident, but some car owners said that after their vehicles experienced oil increase and emulsification problems, they could go to the 4S store to change the new oil for free.

At present, the increase / emulsification of Toyota engine oil has not broken out in large quantities, but there are more and more complaints about Toyota engine oil increase / emulsification through the automobile complaint website. Toyota Camry became the hardest hit area of the incident, and roughly calculated that on March 15, there were as many as 18 complaints about the increase / emulsification of Camry engine oil. It seems that Camry is expected to replace Passat as the "champion" of the complaint list in March. In addition to the Camry, Toyota's Leiling, Carola, Asian Dragon and other models have increased / emulsified oil, but much less than the Camry.

From the above models, it is not difficult to see that Asian Dragon, Camry, Leiling and other models are all based on Toyota TNGA architecture, and these models have increased / emulsified oil, so it remains to be seen whether Weilanda, which is also based on TNGA architecture, exists. However, with the increase / emulsification of oil in several TNGA models, it is difficult for Wiranda to be alone, and its sales may be affected to some extent.

It is unclear what impact Toyota's increased / emulsified oil will have on Toyota's development. However, Honda recalled its 1.5T engine CR-V in April 2018 because of increased oil. After the oil increase continued to break out, Honda recalled a total of 130455 2018 CR-V vehicles carrying 1.5T engines from February 4, 2017 to February 27, 2018, when Honda CR-V sales plummeted.

Some automotive engineers said that the oil increased for no reason, mostly infiltrated into gasoline, and the oil diluted will lead to a decrease in viscosity, over time, the lubrication system will inevitably be affected. Among the five major Japanese brands, Toyota has achieved good results in the Chinese market, which is closely related to the reliability of Toyota brand models and the accumulated reputation of service.
