AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/25 Report--
Through two joint ventures in China, Toyota has released two models, the Yizawa pure electric version and the C-HR pure electric version, and has been speeding up the construction of new energy vehicle production lines and factories to prepare for the production of electric vehicles. According to the Tianjin Bureau of Ecological Environment, FAW Toyota is building two new energy vehicle expansion projects with an annual production capacity of 120000 vehicles (FAW Toyota new plant in Tianjin) and 200000 vehicles (FAW Toyota new plant). After the completion of the expansion project, it will be put into production of Yize pure electric / plug-in hybrid, Asian dragon plug-in hybrid and other models.
Yize is a small SUV model owned by FAW Toyota. With the acceleration of the electrification process, FAW Toyota launched a pure electric version of the model, the ERock, which is also FAW Toyota's first pure electric model, which is expected to be officially launched in May this year.
According to the declaration information released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Yize E Rock is a small SUV based on the fuel version of Yize. From the appearance, there is little difference between Yize E Rock and pure electric version, only in details and logos. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4405/1795/1575mm and the wheelbase is 2640mm, which is in line with the positioning of its small SUV model.
According to the EIA information, the new car has been adjusted in the dashboard, central air outlet, decorative panel, central control panel, central display size, dial size and interior color matching. The difference between Yize and fuel version is mainly in LED headlights, audio, reversing induction radar, tire pressure monitoring system and so on, but the overall change is not significant. In terms of power, according to the declaration information, Yize E engine will carry a lithium-ion power battery with a density of 131Wh/kg, with a capacity of 54kWh, a NEDC mileage of 400km and a maximum speed of 160km/h.
In addition to the production of Yize pure electric version models, it will also be put into production of Yize plug-in hybrid version and Asian dragon plug-in hybrid version. It is understood that at present, among the existing models of FAW Toyota, only Carola has launched the PHEV model, so after the launch of Yize PHEV and Asian Dragon PHEV, FAW Toyota's product camp will be improved to a certain extent.
In addition, at the end of February this year, FAW Toyota was revealed to be planning to build a new energy vehicle plant in Tianjin with an annual capacity of 200000 vehicles. According to the plan, FAW Toyota's new plant will make significant progress by the end of this year.
According to FAW Toyota insiders, the new plant will be put into production of new energy models outside Toyota's TNGA architecture in the future, and the models to be put into production in the new plant will not be limited to Toyota's TNGA architecture, but will be put into production based on electric platforms.
According to Toyota's global strategy, it will launch 10 pure electric vehicles one after another from 2020, including six global models based on e-TNGA architecture. For the Chinese market, Toyota President Akio Toyoda said on April 20 last year that Toyota would introduce 10 electric models to China by 2025.
