The outer metal rings of the left and right thrust parts of the steering rack may become loose and eventually get stuck between the rack and the rack housing, resulting in a steering angle of less than 180 degrees on the affected side of the steering wheel. Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace qualified steering rack thrust parts for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

And some vehicles within the scope of this recall may cause improper sealing of steering bellows if they fail to replace the steering rack thrust parts fully in accordance with the operation instructions in the course of carrying out the recall and maintenance work of "Beijing Mercedes-Benz Motor Co., Ltd. recalled some C-Class, E-Class and GLC SUV vehicles" issued on March 12, 2019.
