At present, COVID-19 has appeared in 203 countries and regions in the world. Among them, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States reached 160020, with the death toll reaching 2953; the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Italy reached 101739, with 11591 deaths; and the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France was 44550, with a total of 3024 deaths.

COVID-19 's epidemic situation has added a lot of uncertainty to the auto show. In addition to the Paris Motor Show, which was forced to be cancelled, the Geneva Motor Show, originally scheduled for early March, was suspended the day before, while the New York Motor Show, originally scheduled for April, was postponed to August, and the Detroit Motor Show was cancelled because of the epidemic.

Auto companies, including Volkswagen, Ford, Toyota and FCA, have responded to the spread of the epidemic by closing factories around the world, which has a huge impact on the auto market.
