At present, the new Elantra and Genisse G80 have been released. The Elantra, newly released on March 18, is the seventh generation of models, and the sixth generation of Elantra is currently on sale in China. Equipped with 2.0L and 1.4T engines and a six-speed manual / CVT transmission, the new Elantra has an increase in body length, width and wheelbase compared with the previous generation. In addition, the new Elantra hybrid version will be launched in June and is expected to be equipped with a hybrid system of 1.6L engine and motor, maximum power 103kW (141Ps), peak torque 264Nm, and the transmission system matches the six-speed double clutch transmission.

According to the official news from Genisse, the new G80 will be launched online on March 30th. The car uses the latest family design both in appearance and interior, and will provide 2.5T four-cylinder and 3.5T in-line six-cylinder power for consumers to choose from. The transmission system will match the eight-speed manual self-integrated transmission. In addition, the new car adopts the layout form of front and rear drive, and provides optional four-wheel drive system. As for the GV70, another model of Genisse, it will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.

Both models have been released. According to Hyundai's 2020 product plans, the new Hyundai Shengda HEV will be released in May, while the Hyundai Shengda PHEV will be released in December, which does not rule out the possibility that the release of the new car will be delayed until 2021. The Hyundai KONA N will be launched in July, and the KONA N, as a small SUV, is expected to carry the same i30N 2.0 engine.

Of course, in the current global epidemic continues to spread, after all, Hyundai new car release time is still a certain variable. Hyundai sold 309000 vehicles worldwide in March, down 20.9 per cent from a year earlier, according to sales data. Cumulative global sales in the first quarter were 905000, down 11.4 per cent from a year earlier. Although Hyundai did not disclose the specific sales in the Chinese market, but its situation in China is not optimistic.
