The motor power of the car reaches 202kW, the top speed is 225km/h, the comprehensive endurance under NEDC condition is 668km, the service weight is 1745kg, and the ternary lithium ion battery with energy density of 161Wh/kg is adopted.

It is understood that the Model 3 long-life rear-drive version is a version of Tesla discontinued in the United States, and then introduced into China's Shanghai factory for production. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that the company will only produce low-end models in China, and high-end models will still be produced in Fremont, California, to be imported to China for sale.

As a reference, the price of the upgraded version of the domestic Model 3 standard battery life (excluding subsidies) is 323,800 yuan, and the price after subsidy is 299,050 yuan. The battery life is 445 kilometers, the top speed is 225 kilometers per hour, and the acceleration time of 100 kilometers is 5.6 seconds. The basic version of the auxiliary driving function is standard.

In March, Reuters reported that it had obtained a government document revealing Tesla plans to increase production capacity for certain parts at the Shanghai Superplant to help localize its supply chain in China, the world's largest auto market.

The company plans to add production lines to make more battery packs, electric drives and motor controllers, the documents show. Tesla also wants to nearly double its annual production capacity of cooling ducts, a critical part of the car's thermal management system, from 150,000 to 260,000 units. Tesla did not provide details on the capacity of other components. Construction documents also show Tesla building a new stamping line in Shanghai to speed up car production.

According to Tesla's plan, Model 3 production will be 100% localized by the end of this year.

Tesla's revenue in China was $2.979 billion in 2019, up 69.55% from $1.757 billion in 2018. Tesla's revenue in the US market during the same period was US $12.653 billion, down 15% year-on-year.

In 2020, Tesla's production and sales in China will decline due to the impact of the epidemic, while the replacement of low-level hardware by manufacturers will also put Tesla into public opinion. Tesla admitted that the configuration of the domestic Model 3 was downgraded, and some vehicle controller hardware was reduced from HW3.0 to HW2.5, but the environmental protection information was marked with HW3.0 on the vehicle list, which was inconsistent with the actual loading hardware. Tesla's official statement acknowledged that some vehicles are equipped with HW2.5, and the solution is to replace HW3.0 for vehicles one after another.
