Recall some imported Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars because the vehicles were installed with the wrong brakes before leaving the factory.

In the recall notice, Mercedes-Benz said that due to production deviation, the front axle of Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicles may have installed incorrect "brakes", including brake discs, brake calipers and brake pads. In this case, the vehicle may not meet the certification specifications of the corresponding model, and there are potential safety risks.

Due to the different dimensions of brake disc, brake caliper and brake disc, abnormal wear and brake failure may occur, which is a great threat to driving safety.

The Mercedes-Benz recall, which will begin on April 30, 2020, involves 131 imported Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars manufactured between April 9, 2018 and May 9, 2018. Mercedes-Benz will replace the correct size of the front axle brake (including brake disc, brake caliper and brake disc) for the affected vehicle free of charge.

The legend on the label indicating the correct use of the child seat and the accompanying explanation may not contain Chinese and do not meet the requirements of the relevant national mandatory standards. The solution is to replace the visor (including warning labels).

Low-level errors flooded tens of thousands of cars, and Mercedes-Benz recalled previously "recalled" vehicles. On March 27, 2020, Mercedes-Benz announced a recall of 77607 domestic C-class four-wheel drive, E-class four-wheel drive and GLC SUV vehicles produced from October 18, 2016 to April 13, 2018.

In the course of carrying out the recall and maintenance work of "Beijing Mercedes-Benz Co., Ltd. recalls some C-Class, E-Class and GLC SUV vehicles" issued on March 12, 2019, or failing to replace the steering rack thrust parts in full accordance with the operation instructions, the steering bellows may be improperly sealed. Water may enter the steering bellows, resulting in steering system corrosion, resulting in electronic steering power system failure; if a large amount of water enters the steering system, the possibility of electronic steering power system decommissioning can not be ruled out, which will increase the risk of vehicle collision.

Production problems caused the skylight to fly out. On April 17, 2020, Mercedes-Benz announced the recall of some old imported C-Class, CLK-Class, CLS-Class and E-Class cars, totaling 1622 and 1622, as well as the old domestic E-Class cars. In addition, in 2019, Mercedes-Benz brand also had problems such as "missed installation of active brake auxiliary system", "mixed bolts of engine components" and "wrong installation of catalytic converter", and even led to a consumer complaint and claim case.

According to the data, China is the largest single market for Mercedes-Benz brand sales. Mercedes-Benz sold 139000 new cars in China in the first quarter of this year, down 20.3% from the same period last year, outperforming BMW 116452 and Audi 113033, ranking first in luxury brand sales.
