According to the new Leiling declaration map obtained by Netcom from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car has been greatly modified for the front / rear surround styling, and the overall design style follows the American version of COROLLA sports model design, which adds a lot of sports sense compared to cash models.

Judging from the declaration chart, the new Leiling maintains the forward gas net and the lights on both sides of the current model, but transforms the Toyota LOGO, which was originally hung in the middle net, into the engine cover, while changing the original trapezoidal lower intake grille to be more regular and extended to both sides. In addition, the original lights on both sides of the lower side are changed to the design of transverse chromium plating strips.

The side aspect maintains the normal design as always, which is still the mainstream style of the ordinary family car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4640/1780/1455mm, and the wheelbase is 2700mm.

As for the tail, it is only adjusted for the rear bumper, changing the original pure black rear bumper decoration into a honeycomb grille design, and adding a small rear spoiler and bottom diffuser, etc., on the whole, it is more inclined to the change of sports style design. However, the overseas version of bilateral single exhaust is not reflected in GAC Toyota.

In terms of power, the Leiling kit version is still equipped with a 1.2T engine and 1.8L hybrid system, and the specific parameters are consistent with the cash. As Guangzhou Auto Toyota's previous new car from the declaration to the market in about 4 months, therefore, with the current news from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Leiling is expected to be on the market in the third quarter of this year.

However, since the new car has only been on the market for less than a year, it is not clear whether the revamped model will be a new version of the car series or a modified model, but based on the performance of the North American market, the former is more likely. If the new version will undoubtedly become Toyota's differential layout for compact models in China.

Although Lei Ling, one of the best-selling models of Guangzhou Auto Toyota, has been on the market earlier than FAW Toyota's Corolla since last year, it has lagged behind Carola in sales, perhaps because Carola's reputation is more prestigious than Lei Ling. It is undeniable that Lei Ling's designs tend to be more young.

According to Toyota's latest sales figures in China, cumulative new car sales in China in March were 101800, down 15.9% from a year earlier, while cumulative sales in China in the first quarter were 270900, down 22.1% from a year earlier. Among them, Guangzhou Auto Toyota sold 49000 vehicles in March, down 9.9% from the same period last year to 123000 vehicles from January to March, down 24.2% from the same period last year.
