On April 24th, the Lexus brand officially announced that the Lexus GS series will officially stop production in August this year, and in order to thank customers around the world for their 27 years of support for the GS model, Lexus also released two special models as a souvenir.

They are the GS special edition "Eternal Touring", which goes on sale in Japan on June 1, and the Lexus GS 350 F SPORT Black Line, which goes on sale in the United States. Both models are based on the fourth-generation models for customized design from appearance to interior, incorporating a lot of sports suits. after all, the GS model has always paid attention to the concept of manipulation and sportsmanship.

Although the Lexus GS series is not a product with a long history in the whole automobile history, it is a senior model in the Lexus brand because it is the fourth model after the LS, ES and SC after the Lexus brand was founded in 1988, and the first generation was born in 1993. As for the sales of Lexus GS, its officials have also said that under the background of the declining trend of the global car market and the overall contraction of the market, GS series sales are only a small part of the total Lexus sales, and even at its best, the annual sales are only about 33000 vehicles. In contrast, the monthly sales of Lexus ES models in the Chinese market reached about 9000 in 2019. Thus it can be seen that the GS series has become a marginalized model not only in the market, but even in the Lexus brand, so it will be a foregone conclusion that it will eventually stop production.
