In 2020, Qiao Yudong, a legal officer of Sailin Automobile Company, reported to Wang Xiaolin, chairman of Sailin, a major event in Chinese automobile enterprises in 2020. On April 27, Sina Weibo user @ Hongfa Walker posted Weibo saying that he was Qiao Yudong, a legal officer of Sailin Company, and reported Sailin Chairman Wang Xiaolin's false technical contributions and suspected embezzlement of huge amounts of state assets.

Qiao Yudong said that in October 2019, he reported to the supervision, state assets and audit departments that the chairman of the company, Wang Xiaolin, had made false technical contributions and was suspected of embezzlement. He also reflected the situation to the shareholders, supervisors and relevant government departments in charge of the Sailin project. He also said that due to threats during the reporting period, he decided to make public the illegal and criminal information he had.

In the report letter, Qiao Yudong pointed out that the four shareholders of the foreign-funded company actually controlled by Wang Xiaolin acquired the shares of Sailin at the price of 6.6 billion of "false technology contribution". The only state-owned shareholder of Sailin, Nantong Golden Harvest, has actually provided a total of 6.6 billion yuan, including all the daily operation and factory infrastructure expenses of Jiangsu Sailin.

After reporting to the government, Qiao Yudong requested the Rugao trade union to report to the relevant government departments on the progress and preliminary results of the investigation into Wang Xiaolin's suspected corruption since the end of 2019.

At the same time, Qiao Yudong also put forward a request, including a request from the Rugao Trade Union to require Nantong Jiahe to restore the state of sole state ownership from now on, to earnestly perform the duties of investors of state-owned assets, and to prevent the loss of state-owned assets; to request Rugao Trade Union to complete the matters of directors and supervisors that should be held by staff representatives; and to request Rugao Trade Union to help Sailin employees improve the democratic management of Sailin Company.

Sailin Automobile responded that Qiao Yudong's so-called "reporting content" was false and defamatory, and the company had filed a civil lawsuit against the relevant whistleblowers and called the police to deal with the matter. Regarding the situation of Chairman Wang Xiaolin, people related to Sailin Automobile said that he is now in the United States and it is not convenient for him to be interviewed.

On the evening of the 28th, Sailin officially issued a public statement on the matter. Sai Lin said that Qiao Yudong held the position of Senior legal Manager in Sailin from June 25, 2018 to September 25, 2019. During his tenure, Qiao Yudong was criticized and warned by the company for serious disciplinary violations, and the company terminated his labor contract on September 25, 2019. After that, Qiao Yudong applied to the Labor and personnel dispute Arbitration Commission for labor arbitration to restore labor relations and asked Sailin to pay 279973 yuan for overtime work, which was finally ordered by the court to pay 1441.38 yuan.

Sai Lin said that in view of Qiao Yudong continuing to fabricate and spread false news, the company has investigated Qiao Yudong for criminal and civil liability through criminal charges and civil proceedings in accordance with the law.

According to the information, Sailin Automobile is an American supercar brand, which is mainly engaged in the modification of American muscle vehicles, and later launched Sailin S7, Sailin Mustang and other models. In 2009, American Sailin International Automobile Company, Weimeng Automotive Industry Group, Nantong Jiahe Technology Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and other domestic enterprises jointly invested and established "Jiangsu Sailin Automotive Technology Co., Ltd." in Jiangsu Province. Wang Xiaolin is the chairman of Jiangsu Sailin.

Sailin has two factories in Rugao, Nantong, Jiangsu Province. the large factory plans to have an annual production capacity of 150000 units, with the production line required by ordinary vehicle factories; small factories mainly produce supercars and electric cars with an annual production capacity of 70, 000 units. Jiangsu Sailin Automobile does not have the qualification for passenger car production. It is learned from the declaration information issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that Jiangsu Sailin Automobile borrowed the production qualification of "Jinhua Youth Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd." and finally achieved the landing of domestic car construction.

On July 20, 2019, Sailin held a brand and new car conference at the Bird's Nest in Beijing, and announced the first mass production of an electric mini car, Sailin Maimai. Although Sailin is an American supercar brand, it is very confusing to launch a "walking car for the elderly" in the operation of "Jiangsu Sailin" set up by domestic investment enterprises after entering China.

Sailin Maimai officially defines it as a "small urban electric sports car", with subsidized prices ranging from 15.88 yuan to 168800 yuan. The styling of the car is very aesthetically challenging, with a maximum speed of 100km per hour and a maximum range of 305km according to the standard of paddle hline NEDC.

In the first month of listing, the Sailin Maimai flagship store Tmall received only nine orders, and sales were very dismal. The news in December 2019 shows that the online store has been cancelled and closed.

According to the enterprise's product plan, new cars such as Sailin S1 and Sailin Maike SUV will be launched this year. However, under the influence of the dismal sales of Sailin Maimai, the drag of the epidemic and the bad news of the company, it has become a problem whether the new car can be mass-produced and delivered as usual. But in the latest official statement, Jiangsu Sailin said it was committed to a full resumption of work after the epidemic and was also promoting the production and launch of the company's sports cars, SUV and urban electric cars.
