Recently, Toyota and Guangzhou Auto Toyota have registered new trademarks including "Feng Landa" and "FRONTLANDER". From the point of view of the enterprise's new car launch plan, only the new generation of Harrier SUV will be domestically produced, so the Harrier version of GAC Toyota may be named Feng Landa.

Toyota Harrier in China will have two versions, FAW Toyota Harrier version of the internal code 941B, previously exposed model named Hailia, while Guangzhou Auto Toyota Harrier version of the internal code name 942B, the new car may be named Feng Landa.

2020-04-13, Toyota officially released the official map of the new generation of Toyota Harrier model, the new car positioning entry-level five-seater medium-sized SUV, based on TNGA (GA-K) architecture.

In terms of appearance, the new Toyota Harrier uses a simple and sharp design style, with flat and narrow headlights connected to the upper central grille, supplemented by chrome strips, broadening the horizontal visual effect of the front face. The large trapezoidal intake grille in the center of the front face is the embodiment of Toyota's latest family design style, with cooling grooves on both sides.

On the side of the body, the new Toyota Harrier has the shadow of Lexus, and the very sloping D-pillar has a high degree of recognition. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4740/1855/1660mm and the wheelbase is 2690mm.

In the rear section, the new Toyota Harrier is equipped with through-and-through taillights, and the inward-sunken taildoor design makes the rear bumper look wider. In addition, the new car is also equipped with two bilateral chrome-plated exhaust.

In the interior part, the new car in the official picture uses a black / brown interior panel design, and more colors are expected to be available in the future. The overall layout is very similar to the new RAV4.

On the power side, the new Toyota Harrier offers 2.0L fuel version and 2.5L hybrid version. Among them, the pure fuel version is equipped with 2.0L engine, maximum power 171hp, peak torque 207Nm, transmission matching CVT continuously variable transmission, and provides front-drive / four-wheel drive models. The hybrid version is equipped with a THS II hybrid system based on 2.5L engine, in which the front-drive version has a comprehensive maximum power of 218hp, while the four-wheel-drive model has a maximum comprehensive power of 222hp due to the increase of motor in the rear wheel. The hybrid version is equipped with an E-CVT continuously variable transmission.

It is worth mentioning that in the future model plan, Toyota will introduce seven new models into joint ventures to achieve domestic production, including the new generation of Hanlanda, the new generation of Sienna, the new generation of Harrier, etc., as well as FAW Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota.

The naming of "Feng Landa" will also continue the naming style of GAC Toyota on the SUV family, and the new car will further enrich the layout of GAC Toyota products. According to the data, Guangzhou Auto Toyota sold 32143 vehicles in March, down 55.4 per cent from a year earlier. Teng sold 101000 vehicles in January-March, down 46.2 per cent from a year earlier.
