Recently, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau released a random inspection report on the quality of lubricating oil products, showing that the two fully synthetic pure brand engine oils produced by Lubricants (China) Co., Ltd. and sold by FAW Toyota Motor sales Co., Ltd. are not up to standard. The two types of oil are: SN/GF-50W-20 and SN5W-20. At present, the Beijing Municipal Market Regulatory Administration has punished the producers and operators of relevant products in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

The test results show that some of the oils sold in the market have unqualified kinematic viscosity (100 ℃) and low temperature dynamic viscosity (- 30 ℃). The use of unqualified oil will affect the effect of lubrication, cooling and sealing, and cause damage to vehicle cylinders, pistons and other key components.

In accordance with the requirements of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Supervision, enterprises should take the initiative to remove unqualified products from the shelves. According to the public information, all the oil batches are produced in Tianjin, including 4L 0W-20 and 5.5L 5W-20, and the production dates are February 20, 2019 and April 23, 2018, respectively. If Toyota owners go to 4S stores to do maintenance in the near future, they must be careful to avoid using substandard oil.

It is understood that Lubricating Oil is one of the largest oil companies in Japan, which is mainly responsible for oil development, transportation, refining, and sales of various petroleum products. FAW Toyota Motor sales Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in selling domestic Toyota, domestic Dafa and spare parts / supplies, including Lubricants from Chuanguang Group.

In fact, few carmakers produce their own oil, most of which are done by other companies, including BMW and Audi, which do not produce oil. The so-called "original" engine oil is not the oil produced by the automakers themselves, but commissioned by the oil factory OEM and affixed with the car manufacturer's brand. To a certain extent, the original oil is only certified oil. Therefore, FAW Toyota's so-called pure brand oil is also produced through other oil factories, in addition to the light group, Toyota also cooperates with Herve, new Rishi and so on.

Since the original engine oil is only sold in 4S stores, the price is sometimes 50% or more higher than similar products. Although the price is high, most consumers generally buy the original engine oil at a higher price out of confidence and trust in the brand. In fact, there is not much difference between the original oil and the non-original oil, because there is no big difference in the performance and life of the general oil as long as the parameters meet the standard.

Of course, although you don't need to pay so much attention to the "original factory" label, you should still identify the regular authorized dealers when buying oil products, and don't buy substandard oil products cheaply, saving dozens of yuan but damaging the engine. Instead, the loss outweighs the gain.
