Sui Zhongjian, deputy general manager of FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd., will serve as deputy general manager of FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd. Wang Shengli, Executive Deputy General Manager of FAW-Volkswagen sales Co., Ltd. and Executive Director of Volkswagen Brand, took over as Deputy General Manager of FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd., and presided over the marketing work of Pentium.

The re-transfer of Wang Shengli means that the position of executive deputy general manager of FAW-Volkswagen sales Co., Ltd. will be vacant again. From November 2019 to April 2020, Sun Huibin, former Deputy General Manager of FAW-Volkswagen sales Co., Ltd. became Executive Deputy General Manager of FAW-Volkswagen Audi sales Department, the original position has been vacant for 5 months. On April 3, Wang Shengli became Executive Deputy General Manager and Executive Director of Volkswagen Brand of FAW-Volkswagen sales Co., Ltd., responsible for FAW-Volkswagen brand marketing. Just a month later, Wang Shengli was transferred to deputy general manager of FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd.

Data show that since Wang Shengli joined FAW-Volkswagen in August 2002, he has served as field engineer and workshop director of FAW-Volkswagen final assembly workshop, director of service operation of FAW-Volkswagen sales Co., Ltd., general manager of Northeast sales Department, general manager of South China sales department and deputy general manager of sales company. Sui Zhongjian has served as senior manager of China FAW, Deputy General Manager of FAW bus Co., Ltd., General Manager of FAW bus (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., and quality Assurance Director of FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd.

Since Xu Liuping was in charge of FAW Group, he began to adjust the structure and personnel of FAW Group, and put forward the development idea of "joint venture to feed autonomy". The personnel adjustment of FAW Pentium is also for this reason. According to people familiar with the matter, FAW Pentium and FAW Mazda were previously owned by FAW cars, and FAW Mazda will be directly responsible for FAW Group after the adjustment. In theory, it is at the same level as FAW Toyota and FAW Volkswagen, while FAW Pentium and FAW Red Flag are independent of each other. This adjustment will improve the freedom and flexibility of FAW Pentium and FAW Mazda.

In China's car market downturn and the epidemic plagued, FAW Pentium and FAW Red Flag are showing a state of growth. Data show that April 2020 sales rose 14 per cent to 7233 vehicles, FAW Pentium cumulative sales rose 13 per cent to 29447 vehicles from January to April, FAW Hongqi sales rose 168 per cent to 14500 vehicles in April, and cumulative sales rose 111 per cent to 39500 vehicles from January to April.

In terms of joint venture brands, FAW-Volkswagen sales rose 9.9 per cent to 165700 vehicles in April, FAW Toyota sales rose 9 per cent to 72000 vehicles, and FAW Mazda sales rose 11 per cent to 7071 vehicles in the month.
