On May 6, Tesla Hunan Service Center provided fault analysis, indicating that due to damage to a transistor of the rear motor, the entire rear motor needs to be replaced, and the "engine number" on the driving license needs to be modified. This is the only solution Tesla can give at present, but this solution involves core components, so the owner does not accept Tesla's solution and seeks further complaints.

The owner said that after the micro blog was released, several owners said that the same problem also occurred. One owner drove the Model 3 on the highway during the May Day holiday. He suffered power loss on the highway due to motor failure, which almost caused an accident. Finally, the car was towed off the highway.

On the afternoon of May 1, Ms. Yin drove a domestic Model 3 standard endurance version that had just been raised for less than two months. When driving on the highway, there suddenly appeared prompts such as "power has been reduced","unable to drive" and "vehicle is closing". According to Ms. Yin, the speed reached 100km/h at that time. Therefore, Tesla proposed a reasonable way to replace the rear motor, but it is unacceptable to consumers.

According to the data of the Association, the sales volume of domestic Model 3 in March was 10,200 units, ranking first in the sales volume of domestic new energy vehicles; from January to March, the cumulative sales volume of domestic Model 3 was 16,600 units, and the sales volume gradually strengthened. Tesla bolt corrosion has a precedent. In March 2018, Tesla recalled 123,000 Model S vehicles produced before April 2016. The reason for the recall was also the bolt between the steering gear and the motor.
