Recall models:

It is decided that a total of 45406 Pentium B30 cars manufactured during the period from September 18, 2015 to November 27, 2016 will be recalled from July 15, 2020.

Reasons for recall:

Due to the mismatch between the spark plug and the ignition system, the EMC electromagnetic compatibility test value of the vehicle in the recall range is on the high side, which makes the interference voltage feedback to the main circuit, resulting in strong interference of the main components of the ignition system (ECU, ignition coil, fuse, etc.). In addition, the internal resistance cavity problems caused by the wrong installation length of individual spark plug screws or the use of wrong screws will produce greater interference voltage, while the continuous large interference voltage is more likely to cause damage to the main components of the ignition system (ECU, ignition coil, fuse, etc.). It may cause vehicle jitter, engine misfire, unable to start and so on. In extreme cases, the phenomenon of flameout may occur while the vehicle is running, and there is a hidden danger of safety.

Solution:

China first Automobile Group will entrust FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd. to inspect the vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and replace them with spark plugs of other brands if the vehicles are installed with affected spark plugs; if the main components of the ignition system (ECU, ignition coil, fuse, etc.) have been damaged due to spark plug problems of the original car, then replace the relevant parts to eliminate safety risks.
