At the same time, unlike the standard and long-lasting versions that have been listed at present, they are equipped with lithium phosphate batteries.

The most important feature of choosing lithium phosphate battery is that it is cheap, because compared with ternary lithium battery, lithium iron phosphate battery has better safety, lower loss and better price compared with ternary lithium battery. Therefore, the use of this battery in domestic Model 3 will greatly reduce the assembly cost.

In addition, according to a notice issued by Ningde Times in February this year, according to the agreement signed between the two sides, Ningde Times will supply lithium-ion power battery products to Tesla. The company and Tesla agreed on the product supply mode and product standards during the business cooperation. Tesla will determine the specific procurement situation by order according to his own needs, and the agreement does not impose restrictions on Tesla's purchase quantity. The final sales amount shall be subject to the actual settlement of the purchase order issued by Tesla. In addition, the supply starts in July this year, and the agreement is valid from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022.

Although the Ningde era held a performance presentation meeting on May 11, Ningde Times Chairman Zeng Yuqun also said that the Ningde era will supply Tesla probably in the second half of this year, and the supply is not limited to lithium iron phosphate or ternary batteries. the specific supply of products depends on market demand. However, from the exposed lithium iron phosphate battery version of Tesla, which means that the model will also arrive, after July as agreed with it, and yesterday Tesla announced the transition period on July 22nd, it has been confirmed once again that Tesla will inevitably reduce the price on his new model.

After all, according to the current standard battery upgrade, it can already meet the standard line of less than 300000 before the subsidy, so the lithium iron phosphate battery version will also be able to get full subsidy, even more affordable than the cash price. Some industry insiders believe that this may reduce the cost of domestic Model 3 by more than 25%.
