Recently, Hong Yunfei, director of the Automobile Industry Department of the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of economy and Information Technology, revealed in an interview with the media that Wuhan will issue implementation rules for promoting automobile consumption. The government will give a certain proportion of subsidies to passenger cars produced by enterprises in Wuhan and sold and registered in Wuhan.

According to Hong Yunfei, during the period from the date of the release of the policy to December 31, the Wuhan municipal government will give a certain proportion of subsidies for the purchase of passenger cars produced by enterprises in Wuhan and sold and registered in Wuhan. Among them, each fuel passenger car is capped at 5000 yuan according to 3% of the sales price, while each new energy passenger car is subsidized by 10,000 yuan.

According to the specific subsidy mode, the car enterprises / dealers that are in line with the subsidy policy in the process of consumer car purchase should publicize the amount of subsidy funds for car purchase, and advance them to consumers within 7 days after the vehicle sale is completed and licensed, and then declare the vehicle subsidy funds to the municipal and district economic and credit departments in the later stage.

In fact, after the epidemic, many places across the country have also introduced relevant measures to promote automobile consumption, in response to the call to "stabilize the traditional bulk consumption of cars." Among them, Shenzhen gives financial subsidies for the comprehensive use of new energy cars to individual consumers, including 20,000 yuan for new electric advanced or economical passenger cars and 10,000 yuan for plug-in hybrid advanced passenger cars. Shanghai, on the other hand, encourages consumers to use new energy vehicles and subsidizes the charging costs incurred during the use of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles purchased by car sales companies registered in the city by the end of 2020.

Wuhan, Hubei Province is Dongfeng stronghold, including Dongfeng passenger cars, Dongfeng Honda, DPCA, Dongfeng New Energy and other enterprises, as well as SAIC GM, Geely Motor and so on.

All models of Dongfeng Honda and DPCA are produced in Wuhan, including CR-V, Civic, 408L, 508L, 4008 and so on. And SAIC GM Wuhan production models are Buick Yinglong, Yuelang, GL6, Chevrolet Kruze, boundary explorer and so on. Geely Wuhan factory and Dongfeng Nissan Wuhan factory are under construction.

According to data from the China Automobile Association, in April this year, China's automobile production and sales completed 2.102 million and 2.07 million respectively, an increase of 46.6% and 43.5% respectively over the previous month, and an increase of 2.3% and 4.4% respectively over the same period last year. The monthly growth rate was the first increase since the beginning of this year. Among them, sales ended 21 consecutive months of decline. From January to April, China's automobile production and sales completed 5.596 million and 5.761 million respectively, with production and sales falling by 33.4% and 31.1% respectively compared with the same period last year.
