According to officials, the new Leiling Sports series will go on sale in July, and the new car will follow the appearance of the American sports version.

Judging from the news, it is not the Leiling modified model that came out before, but the launch of Lei Ling's sports series, which is sold together with the current Leiling ordinary version.

The real car diagram shows that the Leiling sports version has been greatly modified for the front / rear surround modeling, and the overall design style follows the American version of COROLLA sports model design. The new car maintains the forward air net and the lights on both sides of the current model, but changes the Toyota LOGO, which was originally hung in the middle net, to the front of the bonnet, while changing the original trapezoidal lower air intake grille to be more regular and extended to both sides. In addition, the original lights on both sides of the lower side are changed to the design of transverse chromium plating strips.

The side aspect maintains the normal design as always, which is still the mainstream style of the ordinary family car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4640/1780/1455mm, and the wheelbase is 2700mm.

As for the tail, it is only adjusted for the rear bumper, changing the original pure black rear bumper decoration to a honeycomb design, and the bottom diffuser also highlights the identity of its sports version. It is worth noting that the new car factory added a "small rear spoiler" sports kit.

Leiling is built on the GA-C platform of TNGA architecture. In terms of power, Leiling Sports has launched two 185T/ dual-engine models, which are equipped with 1.2T engine and 1.8L hybrid system respectively. Among them, the fuel version is equipped with a 1.2T four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 116 horsepower (85 kilowatts), which meets the national six emission standards. The dual-engine version is equipped with 1.8L Atkinson cycle naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 98 horsepower (72 kilowatts).

GAC Toyota Leiling sales have always been lower than FAW Toyota Corolla, through this differentiated product layout, Leiling may be more catered to young consumers, so as to increase sales.

According to GAC Toyota, sales in April were 63607, up 47 per cent from a year earlier. Total sales from January to April were 186207, down 9.2 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, Leiling sold 20,000 units in April, compared with 30,000 units sold by Carola that month.
