According to the complaint ranking of the electric vehicle, the top three complaints so far are power battery failure, charging failure and inaccurate mileage. It is worth noting that these three complaints all involve batteries, accounting for 17.3%, 11% and 6.2% of the overall complaints of electric vehicles respectively, which can be equivalent to the cumulative proportion of the top three complaints exceeding 30% of the overall complaints.

It has to be said that at present, the impact of battery factors on electric vehicles is still very large, not only because of the high price cost, but also because of the high failure rate. Compared with battery complaints, there are relatively few complaints about other vehicle quality.

The report also shows that for the current pure electric vehicle battery failure time is mostly concentrated in 1-3 years, more than 3 years only 13%, that is to say, less than three years of failure reached 87%. In addition, according to the comparison of complaint data, more than 60% of electric vehicles in complaint models have battery problems when driving less than 20000 kilometers. Therefore, for such a proportion, it can be said that the performance of the current electric vehicle is still immature.

Although complaints about mileage are not battery failures, and the proportion of complaints is not too high, there are still a lot of unacceptable consumption. From the complaint situation, some consumers complain less than a month after purchasing a new car. There are also several reasons for this, including that most electric vehicle manufacturers in order to pursue a longer range, there is a false standard situation, and perhaps battery management technology, and official publicity must use NEDC endurance data, but the standard operating conditions, with the actual vehicle environment there are still certain differences, so there is a case of life shrinkage. However, most of the "discount" of mileage is due to the third situation.

Of course, since consumers currently choose electric vehicles to use, so from the proportion of complaints to look good mini-cars accounted for 49.61%, nearly the general proportion of complaints. SUV accounted for 19.74%, and net cars and WeChat vans accounted for 13.36% and 11.69% respectively, while the rest accounted for relatively little.

It can also be seen from the report that at present, for the development of electric vehicles, the impact of batteries on the development of pure electric vehicles is still relatively large, after all, its cost maintenance and replacement costs are also large, resulting in a lot of consumption of electric vehicles and failed to have too much confidence.

However, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the first three mandatory national standards in the field of electric vehicles, covering the safety requirements of electric vehicles and electric buses, systems and parts, etc., fully in line with the United Nations global technical regulations for electric vehicle safety, and some detection indicators are stricter than international regulations, which will be implemented from January 1,2021.

This means that with the development of battery technology, breakthroughs in continuous improvement and stricter standards for electric vehicle safety will promote effective and rapid improvement in the quality of electric vehicles.
