SAIC-Volkswagen's move to restart employee car purchases at a 40 per cent discount has something to do with its dismal market performance. SAIC reported that SAIC sold 1.0966 million vehicles from January to April, down 45 per cent from a year earlier and exceeding the 31 per cent average decline in the overall car market.
