AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)06/02 Report--

Recently, some netizens revealed that Xiaopeng P7 had an accident in the course of test driving on the track, and the vehicle crashed directly into the guardrail on the side of the track, causing serious damage to the whole vehicle.

According to the exposed video, a test driver with three crew members experienced the Xiaopeng P7 pure electric vehicle on the track. When the vehicle got on the first corner of the track, the vehicle was obviously abnormal under the control of the driver. In the second corner, it rushed directly out of the track and into the buffer zone. What is even more bizarre is that when the vehicle re-entered the track, it was' out of control 'again under the control of the driver, causing the vehicle to skid off the track and crash into the internal test guardrail.

As a result of the accident, the Xiaopeng P7 vehicle was seriously damaged and crashed into one side of the guardrail. The suspension of the rear wheel was suspected to be broken after the collision, and the front wheel was also seriously damaged. Fortunately, the people in the car were all right. It can also be seen from the video that after the collision, the people in the car also said, "the vehicle is not good, the ABS is closed."

The video of the accident went viral on the Internet and caused heated discussion among netizens. Many netizens thought that the test driver should have shut down ESP rather than ABS, and that the test driver also had great technical problems.

In addition, some netizens believe that the occurrence of the accident has something to do with the lower 'limit' of the vehicle itself in the state of fierce driving.

In response to the heated discussion among netizens, Xiaopeng official responded that "the situation is not true, the accident is caused by improper operation of the driver himself, not the vehicle automatically shuts down the ABS."

It is understood that the ABS anti-lock braking system is to automatically control the braking force of the brake when the car is braking, so that the wheel is not locked and slipped while rolling, so as to ensure that the adhesion between the wheel and the ground is at the maximum value. Generally speaking, the ABS system of family cars can not be artificially intervened or turned off, because it will lose the meaning of existence if you can turn it off at will.

Part of the reason for this incident is likely to be that test drivers turned off ESP, that is, the body electronic stability system. The role of ESP is mainly to improve vehicle handling performance at the same time, effectively prevent the car from getting out of control when it reaches its dynamic limit, and improve the safety and handling of the vehicle.

In response to this matter, Xiaopeng Automobile officially issued an "explanation on the collision accident of Shandong Heze Xiaopeng P7 trial ride" on June 2. It is understood that the trial drive of the track was held by Xiaopeng Automobile Heze Wanda Store. More than 30 customers were invited to experience it, including Mr. Zhang, the invited driver. The official description of the accident was written by Mr. Zhang, a specially invited driver at Xiaopeng's Heze Wanda store.

Mr. Zhang, the invited driver, said in the accident description that in view of the slow push and steering speed of ESP and ABS during the early test drive, in order to brush out a faster lap time, the ESP motor fuse was pulled out, resulting in the failure of ESP and ABS functions.

According to him, all the roads in the front section of the track drove normally, and the first turn was due to excessive speed (105km/h, which was later assessed as a high probability that it could not pass the corner), resulting in understeer (although the direction was made up), the vehicle lost control for the first time and rushed directly into the buffer zone, then braking (the speed was reduced to about 50km/h), and then misjudged that the buffer zone had enough space, and then accelerated back to the track again. When approaching the track in reverse direction (the speed is about 70km/h), when a piece of sand in the area increases side skidding (the speed is about 80km/h), the emergency brake immediately occurs, and the front wheels lose their adhesion, resulting in the vehicle losing its steering ability and causing a collision.

Mr. Zhang, the invited driver, also admitted that the accident was due to his own erroneous judgment and improper operation, which caused the vehicle out of control, resulting in the consequences of vehicle loss, and apologized for this. Fortunately, none of the people on board were injured.

For this matter, many voices pointed out that Xiaopeng Automobile Heze Wanda store, as the organizer of the event, also has a great responsibility. The customer was invited to the track to experience the product, but a "unprofessional" invited driver was almost injured. The customer was frightened in the accident and shouted "the vehicle is not good". It seems that there are problems with Xiaopeng's management and professional level.

Finally, Xiaopeng's official response was, "the driver operated as fiercely as a tiger, causing P7 to eat dirt, coquettish operation, the car is fine, let's break up."
