Changan Ford announced that the latest domestic model, the Ford Explorer, will go on sale in mid-June with an official pre-price of 35-400000 yuan. The car is powered by a 2.3T engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission and is the first medium and large SUV introduced by Changan Ford.

Domestic explorers will be a step for Changan Ford to achieve sales recovery, and the new car will compete in the market in models such as Volkswagen Tuen, Buick Anke Banner and Toyota Hanlanda.

In terms of appearance, domestic explorers use the overall shape of the overseas version, the new car uses a larger forward air grille, and can be equipped with different styles of medium-net shape according to different configurations. The car is based on Ford's brand-new CD6 rear-drive platform, which is the product of the soon-to-be-made Lincoln flier. On the power side, the new car is equipped with a 2.3T turbocharged engine, CAF488WQGR, with a maximum power of 276hp, a 10-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drive system. According to the data, Changan Ford sold 20465 vehicles in April 2020, up 38.3% from a year earlier, and its cumulative sales in the first four months were 50921, down slightly from the same period last year.
