According to the sales report released by Dongfeng Motor Group, the sales volume of automobiles in May this year was 264523, compared with 224954 in the same period last year. The cumulative sales volume in the first five months fell by 22.65% to 871324.
According to the sales data released by Dongfeng Motor Group, the sales performance of the four joint venture automobile enterprises has its own spring and autumn, Japanese Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda have achieved growth, while the sales volume of Dongfeng Renault and Shenlong Automobile is still bleak.

In the past five months, Dongfeng Nissan's cumulative sales fell 23.36% to 330566 vehicles, with sales increasing 10.45% to 98818 vehicles in May; Dongfeng Honda's sales also resumed growth, with sales increasing 16.91% to 73708 vehicles in May and 225062 vehicles accumulated from January to May, still with a 24.46% decline.
Although Dongfeng Nissan maintained a relatively stable sales volume after the epidemic, its sales volume was "supported" by a model of Xuanyi. Under the strategy of two generations in the same hall, the sales volume of Xuanyi increased by 31.9% to 45703 vehicles in May. As a brand with rich product line, Nissan's sales performance of other models is average. Teana, Xiaoke and Qijun sold 9823 vehicles, 13613 vehicles and 15285 vehicles respectively in May, while models such as Qida and Blue Bird sold only 5342 vehicles and 2843 vehicles in May.
Looking back at Dongfeng Honda's sales figures over the past few months, it has been a rather tortuous one. Due to traditional holidays, sales of many automobile enterprises declined in January, but Dongfeng Honda was an exception, with sales increasing by 1.85% to 67510 vehicles in January; In February, the epidemic broke out intensively, and the production and sales of domestic automobile market were forced to stagnate, resulting in the sales volume of Dongfeng Honda in that month being 0; In March, the production and sales order of domestic automobile market began to recover, and Dongfeng Honda, which was in the worst-hit area of epidemic situation, resumed production in the middle of March, thus Dongfeng Honda sold 10015 new cars; In April, the domestic epidemic prevention has been effectively controlled, and national life has begun to return to normal. With the implementation of various policies to stimulate the automobile market, Dongfeng Honda sales increased by 19.08% to 73829 vehicles in April.
In sharp contrast, sales of Dongfeng Renault and Shenlong cars are terrible. Among them, Dongfeng Renault's sales volume in May was 0, and the cumulative sales volume in the first five months fell by 81.44% to 1373 vehicles; the sales volume of Shenlong automobile fell by 2.81% to 6250 vehicles, while the cumulative sales volume fell by 66.24% to 8698 vehicles.
Dongfeng Renault's sales were zero again after January's zero sales, but Dongfeng Renault's zero sales were expected. On April 14, Dongfeng Motor Group and Renault China announced that Renault would transfer its 50% stake in Dongfeng Renault, a joint venture company, and Dongfeng Renault would stop Renault brand-related business activities, so it was not surprising that sales volume in May was 0.
In fact, Dongfeng Renault's withdrawal from the Chinese market has long been a sign, and many problems existing in Dongfeng Renault's development in the Chinese market in the past two years have laid the groundwork for its withdrawal. In the Chinese market, Renault brand awareness and reputation is relatively low, its products also failed to adapt to the development rhythm of the Chinese market, since its establishment only launched 4 domestic models on sale. Product update iteration is too slow to meet consumers 'demand for car purchases, which also inhibits dealers' profitability. Renault has been unable to do so in the context of the current auto market entering the stock competition stage.
The situation of DPCA in the Chinese market is also difficult to describe. Under the impact of the epidemic, the dragon car became shaky. After the epidemic, with the fall of Chang 'an PSA and Dongfeng Renault, the sales volume of Shenlong Automobile, which is also a French car, fell 66.24% to 8698 vehicles in the first five months.
Years of poor Shenlong automobile has been hovering at the edge of the market, sales decline, dealers withdraw from the network in a large area, old models, brand reputation and other problems are waiting for Shenlong automobile to solve. Under this background, Shenlong Automobile embarked on the road of self-rescue. In May this year, Shenlong Automobile restarted the employee competition mechanism, and at the same time made adjustments in asset optimization. Factory 1 was collected and stored by the government, and it was reported that Shenlong Factory 2 would be sold together with the equipment as a whole.
Although the auto market is recovering, there are still many auto companies with double-digit declines. At present, Japanese Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda sales have shown double-digit growth, on the one hand due to word-of-mouth and products, on the other hand thanks to a number of favorable policies and marketing activities.
The legal brand has been hovering at the edge of the market, Dongfeng Renault has ceased to exist in the Chinese market, and the situation of Shenlong Automobile is not optimistic. Under the background of continuous decline in sales volume, if we do not pay attention to product quality, do not optimize after-sales service and do not meet the needs of consumers, it may not be far from delisting.
