The contents published by the anonymous person about NIO were deliberately fabricated, and NIO had taken legal measures to safeguard its rights and interests.

The official statement reads: From June 7 to 8, an anonymous person posted a number of rumors against NIO on the network platform. The anonymous person continuously used spontaneous combustion pictures of other brands of models, fabricated rumors that the incident in the picture was the explosion of NIO EC6, claimed casualties, and even lied to Jiading police to confuse the audience.

The content published by the anonymous person about NIO is deliberately fabricated and is malicious harm to NIO enterprises and employees. In view of the extremely bad impact this act has had on NIO's corporate reputation, NIO has taken the necessary legal measures to safeguard its rights and interests.

On NIO Day in December 2019, NIO officially released the EC6 model, which was built based on ES6 and confirmed to be put into production at Anhui Jianghuai NIO Factory. It is also the third production model of NIO Automobile. The car is expected to announce its price and configuration in July 2020 and start delivery in September.

In May 2020, the delivery volume of NIO reached 3436 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 215.5%, and 10429 new vehicles were delivered accumulatively in the first five months.
