Chen Jianxian has served as deputy director of the Technology Center of Dongfeng Company and vice president of Dongfeng Automotive Engineering Research Institute. In March 2017, Chen Jianxian officially became deputy chief engineer of Dongfeng Company. Chen Jianxian is also one of the core developers of Dongfeng fierce car model.

Chen Jianxian also holds several positions, including deputy director of Dongfeng Automobile Technology Center, president of military vehicle Research and Development Institute (first Research Institute), and deputy general manager of Dongfeng Automobile Special equipment Division (Dongfeng Cross-country).

Dongfeng Company is a super-large automobile enterprise directly managed by the central government, headquartered in Wuhan, and its main business covers a full range of commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, new energy vehicles, military vehicles, key automobile assemblies and parts, automotive equipment and automobile-related business.

Dongfeng's total sales in May were 317600 vehicles, up 16.6% from a year earlier. In the field of commercial vehicles, Dongfeng Company sold a total of 79600 new vehicles in May, up 51.7% from January to May, up 51.7% from January to May.
