According to the owner of the car involved, Ms. Wang, she bought a Mercedes-Benz A-class car at a Mercedes-Benz 4S store in Xi'an in November 2019, with a naked car price of 240000, including all other expenses totaling 280000 yuan. Unexpectedly, the new car broke down twice after driving only about 8000 kilometers.

Ms. Wang said that the new car first broke down when it reached 4000 kilometers at the end of February, and an oil lamp alarm appeared on the dashboard, and then went to the 4S store to look for the reason and was told that "maybe the manufacturer didn't fill up the oil when he left the factory." In this regard, Ms. Wang also believed the view of the 4S store and agreed with the practice of the Mercedes-Benz 4S store to increase the oil of the vehicle.

But on May 26, Ms. Wang's vehicle again appeared oil lamp alarm, and the dashboard said "engine oil is too low, please add 1.0L". With regard to the fact that the vehicle needs to be filled with oil twice for 8000 kilometers, and as a new car engine, how can it be possible to burn oil? Ms. Wang obviously cannot accept it. It took her 280000 yuan to drive before burning oil, which is also incomprehensible. I think it's the quality of the car.

In response to Ms. Wang's situation, the relevant person in charge of the Mercedes-Benz 4S store said that as the vehicle has not yet been tested, it is impossible to know what exists in the vehicle. But Ms. Wang said that the car had been placed in the 4S store since May 27, but they had been unable to find out the specific reason. Therefore, Ms. Wang said that she only hoped that the factory could give a normally running vehicle.

Ms. Wang said that when she went to the store for negotiations again on June 7, the store also recycled the vehicles at a price of 230000 and asked Ms. Wang to choose a new car to make up for the price difference, but later said that it could only be recycled at 195000 yuan. In this regard, Ms. Wang said she could not accept it. After consultation on the 9th, Ms. Wang said that she had reached an agreement with the 4D store, but declined to disclose the details, perhaps signed a confidentiality agreement.

In fact, the frequent quality control problems of the Mercedes-Benz brand in the past two years have been exposed by the media, all of which reflect that Mercedes-Benz, as a first-tier luxury brand, is not responsible for the products purchased by consumers. not only frequent recalls due to minor problems or news exposed by the media reveal that Mercedes-Benz quality is constantly declining. Although its sales performance in the domestic market is still strong, but this series of situations are undoubtedly driving down their own brand effect.
