BYD Song MAX has the worst safety rating among the 11 models and is the only one in the batch with P (poor) occupant safety protection. Such a result will of course have serious consequences, such as the report that the driver's head, neck and torso will all be injured, while the rear passenger's torso is basically not effectively protected.
In the frontal 25% offset collision, Song MAX was also rated as P (poor), which was mainly reflected in the large amount of invasion in the upper part of the passenger cabin and the opening of the door in the collision. From the result diagram, the A-column has been bent and deformed.
Due to the existence of structural accidental deformation, causing harm to the people in the car, Song MAX was finally rated as P (poor) in the occupant protection project, which can be judged as unqualified.
In other aspects, Song MAX also got P (poor) for "crashworthiness and maintenance economy". Compared with Baojun 510, only roof strength and safety protection for pedestrians outside the car were left.
