Judging from the two videos circulated, although there was no open fire in the vehicle, it gradually increased in a few minutes from the white smoke emitted by the vehicle. Due to the smoke coming from the bottom of the vehicle, it is not possible to determine what caused it for the time being, and because of the heavy smoke, it is impossible to see whether the vehicle is in a charging state.

Regarding the spontaneous combustion of Great Wall Euler IQ, some media sent inquiries to the Great Wall Euler Public Relations Department, but so far, Great Wall Motor and Euler brand have not made a relevant response.

However, witnesses attached to the vehicle involved said that the Great Wall Euler iQ new energy vehicle was a car-hailing car, and the smoke occurred on the morning of June 22nd. After the incident, the fire department also rushed to the scene to flood the vehicle, but in the end the vehicle was still seriously damaged. Several witnesses said that the thick smoke from the vehicle at that time was quite pungent, and it was speculated that it was caused by the spontaneous combustion of the battery.

The witness also said that Great Wall Euler's cars were often recharged at the charging station, and there were several smoking vehicles next to them at that time. At present, there are no reports of casualties or financial damage, and the cause of the accident is also under investigation.

It is understood that Great Wall Euler IQ is the second new energy model under its brand, with a subsidised price of 114800 yuan to 124800 yuan, but the model uses solar technology batteries in 2019. The current models should be equipped with honeycomb new energy battery packs.

In fact, the Euler R1 model of the Great Wall also had spontaneous combustion in August last year. It is understood that the incident also occurred at the Xing charging station in the old factory of the headquarters of the Great Wall in Baoding. The accident vehicle caught fire when it was parked in a public DC fast charging station, but it was impossible to determine whether the vehicle was charging at that time. The fire broke out at the rear bottom of the vehicle, and the loud sound of a suspected explosion could be clearly heard in the video, and the vehicle was almost destroyed because no emergency extinguishing measures were taken. However, no specific statement has been made so far on the incident.

Data show that the Euler brand sold a total of 2333 vehicles in May, an increase of 32% from the previous month, which is better than the market performance. Euler sold a total of 6801 vehicles in the previous month, narrowing the decline of sales for three consecutive months under the influence of the epidemic.
