In response to this matter, BYD Automobile officials have not made a relevant explanation. Judging from the situation of the vehicles on the spot, the smoking position is concentrated in the front cabin of the car, which may not involve the power battery pack in the chassis position.

At present, BYD Tang New Energy is divided into two models: DM plug-in hybrid and EV pure electric, but the specific vehicle version cannot be confirmed in the video.

According to official information, the power system of the BYD Tang DM plug-in hybrid consists of a 2.0T turbocharged engine, a six-gear double-clutch gearbox, a power battery and a single / double motor. If the vehicle in question is a DM, the smoke position is where the layout engine is located.

If the vehicle in question is a pure electric version of EV, it is more likely that electrical circuit problems will be involved.

It is worth noting that a BYD Qin Pro EV caught fire at a charging station in Shenzhen on May 28, so BYD's new energy vehicles have been exposed to two fires and smoke in less than a month.
