Reasons for recall:

The combination of high-pressure fuel pump and low-pressure fuel pipe of some vehicle engines within the scope of this recall will be reduced after being affected by long-term thermal load, and oil leakage may occur when the vehicle is cold started at low temperature, which does not comply with the relevant provisions of the safety protection of fuel system in GB 7258-2017, which does not meet the relevant provisions of the safety protection of fuel system in the "Technical conditions for Motor vehicle Operation Safety".

Solution:

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd., Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. and Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the fuel pipes of high-pressure fuel pumps free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall by authorized dealers to eliminate safety risks.

In recent years, Mercedes-Benz quality problems have occurred frequently in the Chinese market. Mercedes-Benz issued a total of 24 recalls in 2019 alone, with 1.4582 million recalls, equivalent to twice the cumulative sales of Mercedes-Benz in 2019. The recall is Mercedes-Benz's 10th recall this year, recalling more than 705000 vehicles in the first half of the year, also exceeding sales for the whole of 2019.

As a world-famous luxury brand, Mercedes-Benz has always played an important role in the luxury car field in China, and its sales performance is remarkable. However, the successive emergence of car quality problems, I do not know how long consumers' patience and tolerance can last?
