Sinopec easyJet sales Co., Ltd. is actually the main body of the convenience store operation of Sinopec gas stations all over the country. It was established in 2013 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec sales Co., Ltd., which is engaged in non-oil products professional operation. Sinopec set up a car clothing project team in 2008 and began to try to sell cars in 2017.

As for the sales cooperation model, Sinopec easy Jet said that it will make use of core advantage resources such as Sinopec gas stations and convenience store network covering the whole country, online and offline membership size, channel customer repurchase and replacement demand, cooperate to carry out car distribution consignment, customized car group purchase, online digital customer collection, offline scene marketing and other business. According to statistics, Sinopec has more than 30, 000 gas stations, including more than 27000 easyJet convenience stores, making it the convenience store operator with the largest number of outlets in China, with more than 20 million customers per day.

In this regard, some netizens asked whether Sinopec should offer some more preferential packages for selling cars: for example, like the mobile phone package, the car should be paid for filling up.

Some netizens also said that as more and more new retail channels like Sinopec compete with car dealers, it may give dealers some competitive pressure. In recent years, there have been frequent incidents such as store deceiving customers and forcing various fees to consumers, resulting in consumers questioning the opacity of a lot of car 4S content. To a certain extent, the rise of the Internet has replaced part of the functionality of 4S stores.

But in fact, there is still a big gap between the new retail and the dealership. the traditional 4S store has both vehicle sales, spare parts, after-sales service and information feedback, while auto e-commerce or new retail can achieve some of the functions of the 4S store. but it's obviously not possible to cover it all.

Industry insiders said that compared with other channels, the passenger flow of convenience stores in gas stations is more accurate, and they are all car-bought groups, so the marketing of repurchase and replacement is considered to have a higher conversion rate. However, at present, several cooperation directions mentioned by Sinopec do not see any obvious change to the existing 4S store business model, because this kind of cooperation has always been there at the local level.
