The new Beijing BJ90 is still built on the old GL-class chassis, powered by 3.0T and 4.0T engines provided by Mercedes-Benz and meets the sixth national emission standards. Among them, the price of 3.0T model is 69.80-768000 yuan, and that of 4.0T model is 94.80-998000 yuan.

From the point of view of pricing, Beijing BJ90 has reduced its price significantly compared to before. There are two of the 2016 Beijing BJ90 models previously sold, of which the 3.0T version costs 988000 yuan and the 4.0T version costs 1.288 million yuan. However, judging from the name of the "government version", we can see that the car is not aimed at ordinary consumers, while the 2020 Beijing BJ90 mainly launches the general market.

Mercedes-Benz GL design elements can be seen everywhere in Beijing BJ90. The front face of the new car adopts the family design of Beijing BJ series SUV, and the huge chrome-plated five-hole front grille is very recognizable. The side shape is burly, following the design style of the old model, its length, width and height are 5171/1995/1860mm, the wheelbase is 3100mm, and it is positioned as a large SUV. Except for the increase in height, the other dimensions remain unchanged.

The shape of the rear of the car also has a high degree of recognition, the taillight uses a vertical design and the lamp strip is ring-shaped, connected by a sturdy chrome strip. In addition, the subsequent surround uses chromium plating treatment, with a bilateral exhaust layout, the overall cross-country style is strong, and the tail mark is "Beijing".

Beijing BJ90 interior, you can see many of the old Mercedes-Benz GL design, including the overall shape of the center console, the control knob and the control area near the central armbox have maintained a high degree of consistency. The biggest difference is that Beijing BJ90 is equipped with a larger central LCD screen and a new multi-function steering wheel with BAIC LOGO. It is worth noting that Beijing BJ90 car keys, bonnet and other positions, are printed with Mercedes-Benz logo.

Beijing BJ90 is the core of Mercedes Benz. In terms of power, the car is powered by 3.0T and 4.0T engines provided by Mercedes-Benz, of which the 3.0T V6 engine has a maximum power of 333 horsepower and a peak torque of 480 Nm. The 4.0T V8 engine has a maximum power of 422 horsepower and a peak torque of 600 Nm. In terms of transmission, the two engines match the 9-speed manual self-integrated gearbox and are equipped with a full-time all-wheel drive system.

Prior to this, due to poor sales of new cars, some automakers had made the news that BJ90 was sold at half price in Beijing. The 2020 models have been greatly adjusted in price, which may be able to attract some consumers. Data show that a total of 27 BJ90 units were sold in Beijing from January to May 2020, of which 24 were sold in May.
