1. Beijing Mercedes-Benz Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, recalling some domestic C-Class, E-Class, GLC SUV and GLB SUV cars. The specific recall information is as follows:

① will recall a total of 3710 domestic C-Class, E-Class and GLC SUV cars from November 18, 2019 to December 2, 2019, starting from September 25, 2020.

The reason for the recall: some vehicles within the scope of this recall may not meet the requirements due to the supplier's production deviation and the material of the front seat height regulator. When the vehicle collides, the external force may lead to the fracture of the pipe, the movement of the seat and the occupant, thus increasing the risk of injury to the occupant during the collision.

Solution: Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will check the manufacturing number of the front seat height regulator on the affected side for the vehicles within the recall area through the Mercedes-Benz authorized service center. If it is confirmed that the number is affected or can not be read, the seat height regulator needs to be replaced to eliminate safety risks.

② will recall a total of 499 domestic GLB SUV vehicles from April 18, 2020 to April 26, 2020 from July 17, 2020.

The reason for the recall: due to the technological characteristics of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the light control unit may be damaged due to the risk of overvoltage, the right rear steering signal may be on all the time, and this failure may also be delayed. may increase the risk of an accident. In addition, the lighting control unit may overheat, thus increasing the risk of fire, there is a safety risk.

Solution: Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the lighting control unit for vehicles within the recall range through Mercedes-Benz authorized service center to eliminate safety risks.

2. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, which will recall some imported S-Class and GLE SUV cars. The specific information is as follows:

① will recall a total of 803 imported S-Class cars equipped with 4.0-liter 8-cylinder engines during the period from March 29, 2017 to October 25, 2018, starting from August 14, 2020.

Cause of recall: due to deviation in the development process of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the two oil seal plugs on the engine may not be able to withstand the maximum load generated by the vehicle while driving. The material of the seal plug may fail due to high engine oil pressure, especially when the vehicle is in the process of intense driving. The possibility of engine oil leakage from the sealing plug cannot be ruled out, and the oil may leak into the road, increasing the risk of traffic accidents behind the car. If the engine oil level is below a certain limit, the red warning message in the dashboard will alert the driver to the problem, and if the driver continues to drive ignoring the warning message, the engine may dry out. In this case, the possibility of vehicle flameout due to engine damage cannot be ruled out, and there is a safety risk.

Solution: Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will add reinforcement components to the oil seal plugs of vehicle engines in the recall area free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

Emergency measures: after receiving the red alarm message on the dashboard, the driver should stop safely and contact the nearest Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer to deal with it.

② recalls some imported GLE SUV vehicles with electric regulation function of the second row seats during the period from December 3, 2018 to September 20, 2019, with a total of 929 vehicles.

The reason for the recall: due to the deviation in the assembly process of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the wire harness under the right seat of the second row may not be wired as required, and the wire harness may be worn if you move the right seat of the second row back and forth. For vehicles equipped with rear side airbags, the side airbags of the seat may not work as expected, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a collision; in addition, if the occupants on this seat do not fasten their seat belts, the driver may not be reminded and there are safety risks.

Solution: Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will check the wiring of the wiring harness under the right seat of the second row for the recalled vehicles, and correct and repair the damaged wire harness if necessary to eliminate safety risks.

Emergency measures: before the vehicle carries out the recall measures, in order to avoid damage to the wire harness, users try not to adjust the right seat of the second row back and forth.

Mercedes-Benz is the main brand in China's luxury car market.
