The "Han" model listed by BYD continues the family names of Qin, Tang, Song and Yuan dynasties, and uses the word "Han" as its logo, which is the same as the family model. In fact, last year, BYD released the model with a brand new "BYD" logo, but when the new car was officially launched and presented in Chinese characters, it meant that the new logo had not yet been officially used on the model.

As the new car has launched two medium-sized models, there are also some differences in appearance, in which the design of EV version adopts the styling style of Dragon Face 2.0. it is more inclined to the design elements of new energy vehicles and adopts closed medium-net design. The big difference in the appearance of Han DM is that the front of the car uses a large-size polygonal grille.

According to Mr. Wang Chuanfu, the blade battery is only used in BYD Han pure electric models, and other models are not planned for the time being.

This new car has launched a total of 3 models of Han EV pure electric version and 1 model of Han DM plug-in hybrid version. In terms of power, the two ultra-long continuous models (medium and low models) are equipped with a front motor with maximum power of 222hp and peak torque of 330Nm with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.9s, while the four-wheel drive high-performance model (high-equipped model) adds a rear motor with a maximum power of 272hp and peak torque of 350Nm with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.9s. The gap between the two is still very large.

In terms of battery life, all three EV models use BYD's self-developed lithium iron phosphate blade battery with a battery capacity of 76.9kWh. The NEDC mileage of the two ultra-long-range models is 605km, while the NEDC mileage of the four-wheel drive high-performance model is 550km. It is worth mentioning that the high-performance version of the model is also equipped with a Brembo high-performance braking system.

In contrast, as an EV model (medium-and low-equipped model) 100 km acceleration is not as fast as the Han DM model, it has also become a slot point for many netizens. Although the Han DM currently has only one model, the car is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 192 horsepower and a hybrid system consisting of a motor with a maximum power of 244hp and a peak torque of 330Nm. However, the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 4.7 seconds, which is obviously better than that of EV.

In terms of battery life, the car is equipped with a ternary lithium battery with a battery capacity of 15.2kWh, and the NEDC mileage of the car in pure electricity mode is 81km.

Although BYD Han is currently the most expensive car model, it is the lowest compared to the competitive Xiaopeng P7 and Tesla's Model 3, although it is only the Han DM. Objectively speaking, BYD Han EV has certain advantages in styling design, spatial performance and the "blade battery" of the latest technology, but it will take time to verify whether it will win the recognition of consumers.
