With the intensification of competition in the domestic automobile market, many car companies are changing and replacing their models very quickly. BYD Tang, one of BYD's main models, has not been replaced for a long time since 2018, but it is also facing a period of change. A few days ago, BYD released a preview map of the newly modified Tang model.

From BYD, four official pictures of the 2021 Tang Dynasty with a mid-term change have been released, which are basically consistent with the cash, using the Dragon Face family design language created by the famous designer Iger. Only the details are adjusted, in which both sides of the forward gas grille are changed from the cash two-bar chromium-plated strip to one, and the outline is outlined with a more square chromium-plated strip.

The side part is basically unchanged, keeping the blackened C column and double waistline to make the side visual movement three-dimensional; only the brake disc in the hub is replaced with Brembo calipers, which can provide strong braking performance. Obviously, except for these details, the design of cash is basically the same, otherwise it is difficult to distinguish between cash models.

As for the changes in appearance, the interior of BYD Tang has changed relatively greatly, in which the horizontal embracing design is very similar to BYD Han's design. The steering wheel also adopts the design of two-color splicing and double-amplitude on the "Han" model. The central air outlet is adjusted from the middle to the bottom design, and the decoration panel is painted and the seat is brown, which is enough to show that BYD has turned the Tang model to the business style.

It is reported that BYD Han design by the former Mercedes-Benz interior design director, now BYD global interior design director Michele Paganetti.

In terms of power, the official has not yet released details, and it is expected that the powertrain of the models on sale will be continued. Although it is expected to be designed for the Tang Chun Electric list, the rest of the models will be used, including the BYD Tang fuel version and the DM version (plug-in hybrid version), as well as the two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models in the Tang Chun electric version.

In addition, it is reported that the mid-term revamped BYD Tang will make its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, which opens on July 24, and is expected to go public in August.

Although BYD Tang, as one of its main models, has been on the market since 2015 and has been replaced once, because of its high positioning, it has not become its main selling model, and its sales are far behind those of the newly launched Song model.

According to BYD's latest sales figures, sales in June were 33725, down 13% from a year earlier, of which 14165 new energy vehicles were sold, down 46.7% from a year earlier, while fuel vehicle sales were 19560, up 60.80% from a year earlier. In the first half of the year, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles were only 60700, down 58.34 per cent from a year earlier, while BYD sold 98000 fuel vehicles, up 18.85 per cent from the same period last year. BYD New Energy underperforms fuel models, which is also due to the frequent decline in the new energy market.
