According to the exposed documents, in March this year, the Aviation Industry Center found that Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. used the image of the "Yun 20" aircraft developed and manufactured by its business unit, and released a promotional video of the "Geely Hawthorne" car. among them, the lens of "Yun 20" transformed into Geely Hawthorne was added, and posters and promotional films were displayed on multiple communication platforms. In addition, other automobile Wechat official accounts also appeared misleading promotion articles such as "Geely Haoyue will cooperate with Yun 20". The Aviation Industry Center communicated with Geely on the relevant infringement incidents, and Geely temporarily suspended the relevant infringement acts.
The content of the document also shows that in July 2020, the Aviation Industry Center found that Geely had once again used the "Yun 20" aircraft image when promoting Haoyue. It was verified that the aviation industry and the Aviation Industry Center did not authorize Geely to use the "Yun 20" aircraft image, nor did it jointly promote the "Hawthorne" brand cars with Geely. The Aviation Industry Center said that the unauthorized use of the trademark and image of the Yun 20 aircraft by Geely violated the legitimate rights and interests of AVIC and misled consumers that Geely Haoyue would cooperate with the Yun 20 aircraft. It's false propaganda.
Aviation Industry Center solemnly informed Geely Brand Public Relations Department: (1) immediately stop the dissemination of all infringing carriers and delete the contents of all carriers; (2) formally apologize to China Aviation Industry Corporation Co., Ltd., clarify that there is no joint publicity relationship between Geely Haoyue brand and Yun 20, and publish it on Geely Automobile's official media platform.
