Geely said that the online connection between Geely Haoyue and Yun 20 is not an official act of Geely. However, Geely apologized for using netizens' content on Wechat, Weibo, Jinri Toutiao and other platforms, causing a misunderstanding between Geely Haoyue and Yun 20. Screenshots circulated online show that Geely's official account mentioned "Yun-20" in its tweet in April, while Geely also used words such as "Yun-20 turned into a Haoyue".

Geely clarified in its official statement on July 22 that the propaganda was not a "Yun 20" aircraft and that the infringement involved was forwarded to netizens and had been deleted.
