It not only makes various acquisitions through its own capital advantages, but also becomes the largest and strongest new energy automobile group in the world within the next 3-5 years. In order to accelerate the car-building plan, Evergrande released six models at one time on August 3, and Evergrande New Energy "Hengchi" brand LOGO was officially announced.

The release of Evergrande New Energy's "Hengchi" brand and new models also means the birth of another Chinese automobile brand.

According to the model plan released by Evergrande in the first phase, there are six models in total, namely Hengchi 1, Hengchi 2, Hengchi 3, Hengchi 4, Hengchi 5 and Hengchi 6, covering all levels from A to D, as well as passenger car models such as sedan, coupe, SUV, MPV and crossover.

According to Evergrande, Hengchi 1 is a pure electric D-class sedan; Hengchi 2 is a pure electric sports B-class sedan; Hengchi 3 is a pure electric C-class large SUV; Hengchi 4 is a pure electric seven-seat MPV; Hengchi 5 is a pure electric A-class SUV; Hengchi 6 is a pure electric A-class crossover SUV. Of course, the official also printed the word luxury, which also shows that the market positioning of Evergrande's new energy products will not be low.

It is understood that Hengchi models are from a number of multinational car designers "handwriting." In October last year, Evergrande held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with 15 world top automobile design masters from Germany, Italy, the United States, France, Japan and other countries to provide modeling design for the full series of "Hengchi" models.

These include Walter De Silva, who has 48 years of design experience and served as Audi Design Director and Volkswagen Group Design Director; Michael Robinson (Hengchi 3), who has 23 years of design experience and served as Fiat and Broadcom Design Director; Andres Warming (Hengchi 1, 2, 4), who has 19 years of design experience and served as BMW Group and MINI brand chief designer, etc.

Evergrande has released a number of models at one time, but they are all in the concept model stage. For the launch and mass production time, Evergrande said that it will realize full mass production for six consecutive years from 2021, and give priority to the trial production of some engineering sample vehicles this year. It was previously reported that from September to October this year, Evergrande's Guangzhou Nansha Vehicle Factory and Shanghai Songjiang Production Base will be completed and put into operation in 2021, with the planned production capacity of 200,000 vehicles in the first phase.

In fact, it has only been two years since Evergrande announced cross-border car building to today. Xu Jiayin, chairman of Evergrande, also said that it takes at least four and a half years for a brand-new energy vehicle to mature from research and development to technology. If Evergrande takes four or five years to build it, it may miss the best period. Therefore, he hopes to realize "lane change and overtaking" by means of "throwing money".

According to Xu Jiayin's future plan, the annual output of new energy vehicles will reach 1 million vehicles, and it will develop into the world's largest and strongest new energy vehicle group in three to five years. Xu Jiayin's investment budget in Evergrande's new energy vehicles is RMB 45 billion yuan in three years, including RMB 20 billion yuan in 2019, RMB 15 billion yuan in 2020 and RMB 10 billion yuan in 2021. He also arranges ten production bases in China, Sweden and other countries to develop 15 new models simultaneously.

Evergrande, which smashed a car-building road through capital, shouted loudly. Xu Jiayin said,"Evergrande wants to change lanes to overtake, summed up in five sentences: buy buy, close, circle, big, good, good." He also said that Evergrande has so many leading enterprises on the road to build cars that it is difficult not to succeed.

In addition, at the end of July, Evergrande's board of directors also suggested that the name of the listed company be changed to "China Evergrande New Energy Automobile Group Co., Ltd.", referred to as "Evergrande Automobile". This marks that Evergrande Health's main business has become a new energy vehicle.

It is not difficult to see that Evergrande has welcomed the release of new models since its name change last month, which means that Evergrande Automobile will gradually promote the planning and development of new energy vehicles. However, Evergrande, which is also a new force automobile enterprise, basically obtains technology through "throwing money", failing to highlight the core process of its car-building. From the outside world, it is more like a model assembled with "capital," including chassis structure, powertrain, power battery, R & D design, modeling design and other aspects, which Evergrande realizes through acquisition or cooperation. Therefore, even if Evergrande has abundant capital, how to develop in the future will wait for the market performance of Hengchi products after mass production and listing.
