According to media sources, Chen Xiaobo will recently serve as vice president, sales director and director of operations of Changan Ford's national sales and service organization, reporting directly to Yang Song, president of the national sales and service organization, and Wang Jinhai, executive vice president of the organization.

Chen Xiaobo joined Changan Ford again, which is not only the return of veteran employees, but also the move of Changan Ford to build a localization team.

According to relevant information, Chen Xiaobo joined Changan Ford in 2004 and was finally promoted to Changan Ford Marketing Minister. In March 2017, Chen Xiaobo left Changan Ford and immediately joined Renault China.

Changan Ford has experienced a cliff decline in sales in the past four years. Changan Ford achieved annual sales of 957500 vehicles in 2016, close to more than one million taels. As the market environment changes and its own problems highlight, Changan Ford's market performance has taken a sharp turn for the worse. Changan Ford sold 828000 vehicles in 2018, down 12.3% from the previous year; Changan Ford sold 378000 new cars in 2018, halving from the same period last year; and Changan Ford's sales fell to 193900 in 2019, continuing to halve.

After the adjustment of the management team and product line, Changan Ford has stopped its sales decline in 2020, but it has been very difficult to return to the sales scale of a few years ago. In the first half of 2020, Changan Ford sold 97500 vehicles, up 30 per cent from the same period last year.

As the two major brands of Ford and Lincoln speed up product upgrading and the introduction of models, Changan Ford is expected to reverse its declining performance.
