Due to the difficulties in the operation of Zhongtai Automobile and the shortage of funds, it is a problem whether the follow-up can be maintained, and it is difficult to guarantee the warranty commitment of the majority of vehicle owners.

In the early years, when the self-owned brands collectively broke out, Zotye Automobile quickly became popular due to "imitation of car-making", which was also called "leather measure department" by the industry. Zhongtai rose with low price and high matching and imitation road, and the SR9, SR7, T700 and other models launched also gained high market attention. However, due to the subsequent outbreak of quality problems, Zhongtai's reputation declined rapidly and sales volume gradually declined. Superimposed by the implementation of the national VI emission standards, the deterioration of Zotye automobile operation has become prominent, further leading to production stagnation and enterprise crisis. In 2019, Zhongtai lost 11.19 billion yuan.

However, Zhongtai Automobile said in a report that the company has not yet produced normally due to the availability of funds, but the preparations for resumption of production have been ready, and the funds can be officially resumed for continuous operation.

Due to its poor management and inability to adapt to changes in the market environment, Zotye Automobile has fallen into an unsustainable position, coupled with the impact of the epidemic, making this once huge automobile empire crumbling. For the majority of Zotye owners, there is no after-sales guarantee from manufacturers, which is even more miserable.
