According to GAC NE's new car plan chart, as the new energy model that the company has launched has undergone two-generation platform upgrades, the third generation new energy platform model will be launched in the future. Although the third generation platform model has no specific time plan, according to the announced plan, the third generation pure electric model platform will be named GEP3.0. The future models based on this platform will include brand-new small / compact SUV, medium / medium and large sedans, medium / medium and large SUV, medium / medium and large MPV, etc., and plan to launch as many as 8 models, covering almost every market segment.

Although GAC NE has experienced two generations of platform upgrades since its launch, the first generation platform model was only launched in 2017, which is a battery-centric layout platform, and this generation platform has only one model, the small SUV model GE3, with a mileage of 410km.

The GEP 2.0 was first publicly unveiled by GAC NE in 2018, and the platform, which is currently the platform for the brand's Aion series models, has made some progress in some technical aspects, such as the use of three-in-one integrated electric drive and high-density ternary lithium batteries.

The Aion S, the first model of the second-generation platform, was launched in April 2019. Although it is the same second-generation model, its mileage is 410-510km, which does not have much advantage for the current new energy market. In addition, GAC NE also launched the medium-sized SUV Aion LX and the compact SUV Aion V one after another, a total of three models.

As for GAC NE's GEP 3.0, there is no detailed news yet, but the development of new energy vehicles has become the focus of many car companies in the future, among which pure electric models are the most important. The development of this third-generation platform may be released and used earlier than its brand second-generation platform, and make greater progress in technology, battery life and safety. At the same time, to achieve a more rapid promotion of new energy products to improve product power is also one of the cores for automobile companies to improve their competitiveness.

According to official data, GAC NE sold a total of 5076 new cars in July, an increase of 49.03 percent over the same period last year, and 25780 in the previous July, up 80 percent from the same period last year. However, for the release of the data, the official has not yet disclosed the specific sales of its models.
