At present, there are many MPV models for Toyota to enter China, but most of them are imported, including Elfa, Wilfa, Previa and Sienna. In order to further expand the Chinese market, Toyota finally realized the localization of the first MPV model, bringing Toyota Sienna, but the new car named for this model may be "renamed" after it is made in China.

Recently, I learned from the State Trademark Office that FAW Toyota has re-registered a number of new trademarks, including "VIELLA", "VIEILLOT" and their transliterated trademarks "Wilner" and "Willu". Judging from the current Toyota model, there is only one flagship MPV model named Wilfa. Combined with the previously exposed information that FAW Toyota will launch the MPV Sienna model, it is speculated that the new MPV may be launched with the "will" series of products.

In fact, the Toyota Sienna model is very familiar to everyone. As a parallel imported MPV model, it has been in China for a long time, and it is also the best-selling MPV model in the parallel import market, which has established a certain reputation. Although renaming a new car will change its popularity, it is a common practice for Toyota to name it in a new way.

The new Toyota Sienna was officially launched overseas in May. The new car is based on Toyota TNGA-K platform, with 2.5L hybrid power and optional all-wheel drive. In the future, it will be introduced by Guangzhou Auto Toyota and FAW Toyota respectively.

In terms of appearance, the new Sienna has changed greatly compared with the old model, the new car's headlamp shape is narrower and longer, the introduction of chrome strip decoration further extends the visual effect of the headlamp, while the huge grille below is quite recognizable. The lines of the new Sienna are more complex and changeable, and the new car's Bhand C columns are all painted in black.

On the tail side, the new Sienna has a flamboyant taillight group design, which even extends to the rear fender. As a hybrid, the new Sienna also uses a hidden exhaust styling.

The new car also launched a sports version, which is equipped with exaggerated heat sinks on both sides, while Chinanews.com also removed the horizontal trim of the ordinary model and replaced it with a honeycomb design and blackened rims.

In terms of interior, the new Sienna uses Toyota's family design, with a 9-inch floating touch screen and a 7-inch driving computer display.

On the power side, the new Sienna will share 2.5L hybrid system with RAV4 Rongfang / Hanlanda and other models, which consists of 2.5L Atkinson cycle naturally aspirated in-line four-cylinder engine, motor, battery pack and planetary gear E-CVT gearbox dedicated to the hybrid system, with a combined maximum power of 246hp and a front drive. The new car also offers E-Four e-four-wheel drive option.

The domestic Sienna project has been carried out in 2019, and both Guangzhou Automobile Toyota and FAW Toyota have invited tenders for the production project of this model, with internal codes 825B and 82roomB respectively, which are expected to be listed in China around 2022. Therefore, it is speculated that "Wilner" or "Willow" may be the "sister version" of the new Sienna, which is also in line with Toyota's "two-car strategy" in China.
