A few days ago, Wuhan car owners claimed to have "successfully lifted the car" and then pushed the incident to a climax. In response, Tesla issued a statement saying it was strongly indignant at the self-directed news creation and malicious misleading of public opinion, and urged relevant parties to abide by basic business ethics.

On the evening of August 18, a number of media reported that, with the assistance of buying a car and more, Wuhan group purchase owners who had been refused delivery and cancelled orders by Tesla successfully picked up their cars and had put the vehicles on risk. A lot of aspects also confirmed the owner of the car to pick up the news. The owner said in response to the media that it took a long time to prepare for the lawsuit after the order was cancelled in Tesla's official website in his own name,"so he placed another order in the name of his family, and with the help of the appropriate car, he quickly mentioned the car." He also said his name had been blackened by Tesla and he could not buy a car.

That evening, Tesla Vice President of External Affairs Tao Lin and employees first refuted rumors. On the 19th, Tesla issued an official statement.

At 8-9 o 'clock in the evening of August 18, a large number of reports titled "Buy a car and help Wuhan car owners successfully pick up cars" suddenly appeared on the network. The report showed the delivery process of car owners in the form of pictures and texts. At the same time, the owner of the vehicle, having completed the "picking up" and "taking photos", pretended to discuss with our delivery colleagues at the hotel on how to re-purchase the vehicle as soon as possible.

At 1 o 'clock in the morning of August 19, the owner suddenly accepted an interview with the media late at night, renamed that the vehicle was ordered in the name of his family, because his name was blackened and could not be purchased. Here, we make the following statement:

Tesla has never blacklisted any car owner, nor has it ever been blacklisted.

2, we have been actively communicating with the owner from beginning to end, taking the initiative to provide a variety of solutions, all of which were rejected by the owner's "family" at the scene.

3. According to the delivery data, the vehicle has been ordered on the official website on July 28, while the time for our company to cancel the order of Wuhan owner is August 14, which is inconsistent with the statement described by the owner that the order is placed in the name of his family due to being blackened.

4. In the so-called "Wuhan Owner Delivery" report, the trailers, signature documents and delivery operation procedures used do not conform to Tesla delivery specifications and are not Tesla normal procedures. We express our strong indignation at this practice of creating news through self-directed and self-acting and maliciously misleading public opinion, and urge relevant parties to abide by the basic bottom line of business ethics and stop playing with public opinion and consuming public sentiment for their own interests.

Therefore, Wuhan owners who buy Tesla in a lot of groups have been refused delivery by Tesla so far.

Earlier on July 21, the flagship store of the car that should buy a car launched the "Tesla China-Model 3" group purchase activity for 10,000 people. The actual vehicle was only 5 units, and the group purchase price was 251,800 yuan, which was nearly 20,000 yuan lower than Tesla's official website subsidy price. Tesla stated at the time that Tesla's official website was the only formal purchase channel for new cars and had never commissioned sales from other platforms or merchants.

On Aug.14, Tesla decided to refuse delivery after informing Tesla that the order was a group purchase order, and then cancelled the order. The owner said that after the group purchase was successful, the merchants told him that they were helping them pay for the order with his personal information.

Tesla refused to deliver the car because this order was placed in the name of the owner of the car or by other merchants, which actually constituted concealing the true order information from our company, and at the same time, it violated the prohibition on resale clearly agreed in Tesla's automobile order terms, and our company had the right to unilaterally terminate the agreement.

On August 17, many aspects said to the media that this activity should buy a car to assist consumers, order and pay in the name of consumers themselves, essentially buy a car is the role of running errands and paying for them, and provide consumers with a subsidy of 20,000 yuan. Tesla's contract with Tesla is still the consumer himself, so "Tesla's accusation that consumers are suspected of 'reselling' is unreasonable."

Tesla spoke again on Monday, saying that if consumers are willing to re-order through Tesla's formal channels, they will make up for the loss of time and energy they have incurred.

The matter continues to cause widespread controversy on the Internet. Wuhan owners had previously said they didn't want to re-order and said they were considering suing Tesla.

It can be seen that Tesla does not recognize orders placed by merchants on behalf of owners according to the prohibition of resale clauses, and continues to refuse to deliver vehicles, which means that Wuhan owners will not mention the Model 3 vehicles of "this order". At present, there has been no further response to subsequent events.
