AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)08/24 Report--

Since the new energy vehicles equipped with ternary lithium batteries are becoming more and more popular, the problems of vehicle spontaneous combustion occur frequently, which have attracted much attention from both inside and outside the industry. However, with the release and launch of BYD's latest research and development of safer "blade battery", it has become a product expected by the industry. And with its many models have been carried, the new BYD Tang also finally assembled.

According to the latest batch of new car declaration pictures of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Tang EV model, which is equipped with BYD's newly developed and safer "blade battery", is also on the list, meaning that its new model will soon be on the market.

According to the information in the declaration chart, the four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive versions of the new car will be equipped with blade batteries produced by Chongqing Fudi, but the power of the new car is different. The two-wheel drive version is still the front motor of the 180kW, while the four-wheel drive version has been upgraded from the original front and back 180 to the front and rear 180/200kW, and has both 505km and 565km endurance versions, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.4s. In addition, it also has two charging modes: DC fast charge and slow charge.

In fact, BYD released the price of the new 2021 Tang EV a few days ago, with a long-lasting version of 279500 yuan and a four-wheel drive high-performance version of 314800 yuan. At the same time, the new car will be officially sold in stores in the fourth quarter of this year.

From the official map released, the 2021 BYD Tang EV is basically the same as the current model in terms of styling, and belongs to the medium-term modified model. The new car follows the Dragon Face family design language created by the famous designer Iger. Only the details are adjusted, in which both sides of the forward gas grille are changed from the cash two-bar chromium-plated strip to one, and the outline is outlined with a more square chromium-plated strip.

Compared with the changes in appearance, the interior of BYD Tang has changed relatively greatly, in which the horizontal embracing design is very similar to BYD Han's design. The steering wheel also adopts the design of two-color splicing and double-amplitude on the "Han" model. The central air outlet is adjusted from the middle to the bottom design, and the decoration panel is painted and the seat is brown, which is enough to show that BYD has turned the Tang model to the business style.

The biggest highlight of the new BYD Tang EV model is the replacement of a new blade battery pack, the safety of the new battery pack has been confirmed, and has changed the pain point of the pursuit of mileage at the expense of car safety.

After all, the New year energy models with spontaneous combustion on the market are all equipped with ternary lithium batteries, which have poor stability and safety compared with lithium iron phosphate batteries, but because the energy density of lithium iron phosphate batteries is relatively low, its battery life is far less than that of ternary lithium batteries. As BYD's cool techs, the blade battery achieves a better balance between the range and safety of pure electric vehicles, largely avoiding the risk of spontaneous combustion.
