AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/05 Report--

Another batch of old models have been recalled, which are now collectible, but consumers are more concerned about whether they are still there. Maybe it was scrapped a long time ago.

A few days ago, GAC Changfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. It is decided that from November 1, 2020, a total of 7 Cheetah cars will be recalled from August 1, 1997 to August 1, 1998.

Yes, it is a cheetah car produced from 1997 to 1998. As early as 1995, Changfeng Group cooperated with Japan's Mitsubishi Automobile Company to introduce the whole vehicle production technology of Mitsubishi Pajero off-road vehicles, thus developing a new series of cheetah off-road vehicles.

The recall is due to inadequate moistureproof measures for the airbag gas generator containing non-sodium azide (NADI) due to defects made by the supplier. In the course of use, due to the influence of repeated changes in temperature and humidity, the gas generating agent may be deteriorated by moisture, which may cause the airbag not to be deployed normally, and the gas generator may be abnormally damaged when the airbag is deployed, resulting in debris flying out and injuring the people in the car. There is a security risk.

The solution is that GAC Changfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace airbag gas generators produced by other manufacturers for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety risks.

On the same day, Mitsubishi Motors also announced a recall, recalling a total of 482 imported Lanser, Pajero and Delica cars produced between April 8, 1996 and September 25, 1999. The problems involved are also related to the airbags provided by the above-mentioned suppliers.

Many netizens thought, "these cars have long been scrapped, and the recall is meaningless." Another netizen said, is this a wave of existence? After all, Cheetah is in trouble, and its factories have been shut down.
