A few days ago, Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall. From May 17, 2019, it will expand the recall of some imported Lion, arrogant Tiger and Leopard series cars, totaling 5035.

Recall models:

(I) some of the 2014 Lion series cars manufactured during the period from January 6, 2014 to July 14, 2014 were imported, totaling 183.

(II) some of the 2014 Aohu series cars produced during the period from January 6 to August 29, 2014 were imported, totaling 4815.

(III) some of the 2014 wing leopard series cars manufactured during the period from January 6, 2014 to January 27, 2014 were imported, totaling 37.

Reasons for recall:

The front airbags of the co-drivers of some vehicles within the scope of this recall are equipped with ammonium nitrate gas generators without desiccants produced by Takata. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be damaged, resulting in metal fragments flying out, which may hurt the people in the car, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Solution:

Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the airbag module of the copilot airbag free of charge for the Yipao model in the recalled vehicles, and the gas generator of the copilot airbag for the Li Lion and arrogant Tiger models in the recalled vehicles free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
