AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/05 Report--
SAIC Audi has been in preparation for two years, and due to the restrictions of the previous agreement, SAIC Audi project can not be rushed forward, and the first new car will not be launched until 2022, but the new car project has already been exposed online. According to the current information, SAIC Audi's first domestic model, the A7L, has been confirmed.
From the project documents to the road test spy photos, now a number of industry insiders have released news, SAIC Audi A7L factory body-in-white pictures have also been exposed online, further confirming that the car is in progress.
The body drawing only shows the general shape of the rear part of the car, and the obvious slip-back shape of the Audi A7 has not been continued in the domestic lengthened A7L model, but makes the whole car become a traditional three-car shape, while the rear car is also relatively slender. By comparison, the body proportion of the domestic A7L is longer, the rear lines are also adjusted, and the proportion of the whole vehicle changes greatly. The words "A7L" and "SAIC Audi" also highlight the identity of the car.
Some netizens even said, "this is a hatchback version of SAIC Audi A7L." Another netizen said that he felt that the lengthening of the domestic A7L was all added to the trunk and "could not bear to look directly at it".
The current Audi A7 body length, width and height are 4976/1908/1414mm, wheelbase is 2928mm, and as an extended model, SAIC Audi A7L is very likely to break through 5m and 3m in body length and wheelbase in the future.
In terms of power, the current A7 is based on Audi's latest MLB Evo platform and is equipped with a 2.0TFSI engine that matches a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Among them, the maximum engine power of the 40 TFSI model is 190hp, the peak torque is 320Nm, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time is 8.3s; the 45 TFSI engine has the maximum power of 245hp, peak torque of 370Nm and 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7 seconds. The 55 TFSI is equipped with a 3.0T V6 engine with a maximum power of 340hp and a peak torque of 500Nm, matching a 48V light hybrid system and a seven-speed double clutch gearbox.
It was reported in July that SAIC and Volkswagen planned to invest 4.13 billion yuan in revamping the SAIC-Volkswagen plant in Shanghai, where the domestic A7L will be co-produced with SAIC-Volkswagen Huieng models.
As for the price, the current import A7 starting price of 573800, domestic A7L starting price may enter the 500000 yuan range.
In addition to the Audi A7L, SAIC Audi's second model will be a medium-and large-scale fuel SUV. According to relevant government documents, the Ningbo branch of SAIC-Volkswagen Motor Co., Ltd. applied for Audi C-level SUV technical renovation project, with a planned annual production capacity of 75000 vehicles. At present, Audi's automobile / diesel medium-sized SUV only has two models, Q7 and Q8, and which model will be put into production in the future remains to be confirmed.
According to Audi's plan, it plans to launch seven local models in the next five years, and sales in China will double to 1.2 million in six years. Audi sold 688800 vehicles in China in 2019.
The birth of SAIC Audi has further enriched Audi's product lineup in China, and from the point of view of product planning, SAIC Audi products will be obviously different from FAW Audi, more inclined to medium and large-scale models. In the first half of this year, Chen Hong, chairman of SAIC Group, also said that SAIC Audi's first model will be launched in 2022.
