Recall models:

(a) brilliance BMW Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 32817 brilliance BMW 318i, 320i, 325i and X1 vehicles produced during the period from January 12, 2010 to November 4, 2011.

(II) BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recalled some imported BMW 120i, 130i, 318i, 320i, 325i, 330i, 335i, M3 and Z4 vehicles produced between November 2, 2009 and October 4, 2011, a total of 88564 vehicles.

Reasons for recall:

The tinned coating was used in the cable joint of the front distribution box of the vehicle within the scope of this recall due to design error, and the coating may be worn after long-term use, resulting in poor contact of the cable joint, which may lead to the failure of the vehicle to start or the failure of the electronic module. it increases the difficulty of vehicle control, and there are hidden dangers.

Solution:

Brilliance BMW Motor Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the distribution box cables with new products with silver coating on the joints for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, so as to eliminate safety risks.
