A few days ago, BYD released a new concept car, which will make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. According to previous official sources, the car is BYD's new medium-sized sports car, the Han, which belongs to the dynasty series and has better performance.

According to Lian Yubo, BYD's senior vice president earlier, the sports car was secretly built at the Los Angeles R & D Center in the United States, with an acceleration of 2.9 seconds. There will be many inventions and new technologies, and the technical parameters are the first in the world.

It is said that the production version of the car will be a four-door sports car with smooth body lines and may break through the existing BYD Dragon Face family design language.

Referring to some information about BYD's first public creation of the Han sports car four years ago, the car is 4950/1890/1490mm in length, width and height, and its wheelbase is 2940mm. It will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine and a 150hp motor, while the four-wheel drive model will also use a 476hp motor on the rear axle, which can form a "five-engine and four-wheel drive" power. With this powertrain boost, BYD's 0-100km/h acceleration time is as short as 2.9s.

The acceleration time of 2.9s is 0.1s faster than that of Acura NSX, which is the same as that of Ferrari F12 and McLaren 650S.

BYD has made great strides in new energy vehicles, while fuel vehicles have gone backwards. In March, BYD sold 30, 000 new energy vehicles, significantly surpassing 16700 fuel vehicles; for the whole of the first quarter, the number of new energy vehicles reached 73000, up nearly 150 per cent from a year earlier, while fuel vehicles were only 44000, down 46 per cent.
