Recently, the distortion of a new energy car in Fuzhou, Fujian caused a heated discussion among netizens that a Chery electric car was deformed in several places after it was parked in an open-air parking lot for three hours.

According to the media "first gang" report, Mr. Wang in Fuzhou, Fujian Province bought a Chery eQ1 two years ago and is still under warranty. At about 10:00 in the morning, Mr. Wang drove to work and parked his car in the unit's open-air parking lot. When he returned home from work three hours later, he found that the car was out of shape in many places.

Judging from the picture, there are many deformations on the upper surface of the Chery eQ1 body, cracks in the paint, raised edges of the hood, ripples in the reversing mirror, and so on.

After finding that the car was out of shape, Mr. Wang suspected that it was caused by the hot weather, because the highest temperature on that day was 38 ℃, and there was no shelter where Mr. Wang parked.

The after-sales manager of Chery New Energy Electric vehicle 4S store said that he contacted the mainframe factory as soon as he learned about the owner, and the specific reason is still under investigation. The after-sales manager further said that before the factory technicians come, the 4S store will repair the deformed part of the appearance free of charge, and Mr. Wang is also satisfied with this solution.

Chery New Energy Automobile officially released a "description of the deformation of Fuzhou's' Little Ant 'outer panel on Weibo on Sept. 9." According to the instructions, the Chery eQ1 Ant body color purchased by Mr. Wang is lava red, which was later converted into matte black; the temperature in Fuzhou on the day of the incident was as high as 38 degrees Celsius, and the surface temperature of the black body exposed to direct sunlight was as high as 70 degrees Celsius; customers in the process of changing color operation, polished off the original outer panel on the car paint, and then directly spray paint treatment, destroying the high temperature surface of the outer panel.

To sum up, Chery New Energy Company made a preliminary judgment: during the color change operation of the owner of the vehicle involved, the car paint on the original outer panel was polished and then sprayed directly, which destroyed the consistency of the surface high temperature resistance of the outer panel, thus causing the outer panel to deform.

Officials say Chery New Energy eQ1 small ants exterior panels are designed to have a theoretical heat resistance of up to 125C to 145C, which can still maintain all properties in a conventional test environment of no less than 100C. Therefore, at room temperature, the eQ1 small ants in the original factory will not appear the deformation of the outer panel.

Chery Ant eQ1 can be said to be a "veteran" in the new energy vehicle market, especially in the timeshare market, Chery Ant eQ1 has won a large number of orders from major operators such as SAIC GoFun,EVCard.

However, since the implementation of the new new energy vehicle subsidy policy at the end of June last year, domestic sales of new energy vehicles have plummeted, and Chery's new energy eQ series has also fallen sharply. According to the latest data from the Federation of passengers, Chery's eQ series sold a total of 16151 vehicles in the first eight months of this year, down 40.3% from a year earlier, second only to BAIC's EU series.
